This was our first trip to Belize and Placencia. We stayed at the Villas at Cocoplum (unit 122) and everything about the property & unit exceeded our expectations! We rented the three bedroom unit and it was spacious and nice for our family, we could've even done the two bedroom. Kimberley, was super responsive and helpful throughout our time on the property and before our trip with recommendations.
The location is perfect! It was between two great resorts with nice restaurants & pools, and spas! The beach was amazing - I woke up for the sunrise almost every morning!!!
We came at the end of the season and usually had the pool to ourselves or with one other family. Although we also hit several other pools in the area to mix it up! The kids loved all the palm trees, games, pool, and kayaks!
I would come back in a heartbeat.
We've been to Belize several times, but this was our first time staying in Placencia - and it did not disappoint! We stayed at the Villas at Cocoplum, and everything about it was absolutely amazing. Kimberley, part of the fantastic management team, was incredibly helpful even before our trip began, making planning so much easier. She stopped by our unit at the beginning to answer a number of questions, extremely genuine and helpful.
The property itself is stunning - top-notch facilities, beautifully maintained grounds, and a super safe, relaxing environment that’s perfect for a family getaway. Our 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment was spacious, stylish, and comfortable. Having a full grocery store nearby made it easy to cook up big breakfasts before heading out to explore.
The location is ideal - centrally situated on the peninsula, making it easy to travel both north and south to check out all the local gems. We especially loved the long pier and dock, perfect for fishing or enjoying peaceful walks out over the water (which is beautifully lit at night). The beach is walkable and scenic, with plenty of palm trees if you prefer some shade.
We pretty much had the pool to ourselves and enjoyed nightly walks under the stars. Placencia and the Villas at Cocoplum totally won us over - we’ll definitely be back!
We were 6 adults and having a 3 bedroom 2 bath unit was perfect. Our golf cart got cancelled at the last minute but it was not an issue. We took bikes to the supermarket on day one and had breakfast every morning on the balcony overlooking the pool and sea. The shuttle service from the hotel was great to get us to town for dinner and picking us up afterwards. The rooms were great, the central living area was nice. It is much easier to get to the hotel next door via the beach rather than the road. The restaurant was nice. The staff was amazing. All of the help during the planning process was great for tours, snorkeling, and transfers to the airport. A great place to stay in Belize.
The condo was exactly as the photos show! Very comfortable beds and furniture. Kitchen was well organized and easy to navigate. Lots of TV channels so it was great for our long stay.The staff, Herbert, Kimberly, Ross, Elijah and Alvero were wonderful! I have never had more support and assistance from any hosts! Top notch! I met lots of new friends and other condo owners. Truly amazing! We will definitely return. Just a heads up, book your golf cart early, they sell out. I recommend Captain Jack’s. They are right across the street.
Very quiet, relaxing location with minimal people. My style! Not crowed. Very polite and helpful staff. Very clean units.
We spent our Christmas week in Villas at Cocoplum and had a great time. The location is wonderful, next to two posh resorts with great restaurants. One of them has minigolf, tennis and pickleball. The other has giant jenga and other fun activities and games. We rented a car and drove into town for shopping, activities and restaurants. What made the trip truly special were the people - Alvaro and Kimberley
Very peaceful and secure. Not much to walk to so we rented a golfcart for our stay
First, we love Placencia, this was our second trip in a month there. we loved it so much we brought our kids back to experience the country and culture. The property is very nice, quiet and safe. it is behind a 24 hour guarded gate. Check in was easy. loved the peer on the property. we got to see 3 manatees playing/swim by the peer while we were kayaking. kids loved it, 13 year old son really liked the upstairs loft area.
The property and people were absolutely amazing. The facilities were top notch. A great place to take your family for a super safe and relaxing holiday
a lovely new apartment with an amazing view. well appointed and comfortable. great facilties, includinh free kayaks, paddleboards and bikes. watching the sunrise from the pier was addictive.
