✈️ Arriving in Belize
You’ll land at Philip S.W. Goldson International Airport, a small, friendly airport just outside of Belize City. No long walks or endless terminals—once you step off the plane, you’ll breeze through immigration and customs in no time.
Before you arrive, don’t forget to fill out the official Belize Arrival Form. You’ll also need to complete this before departing the country:

Immigration & Customs
After you deplane, head to Immigration, where your passport will be stamped—make sure you check the stamp includes your departure date. Then head to baggage claim, collect your luggage, and proceed through customs.
Pro Tip: Right before customs, you’ll find duty-free shops. If you have a favorite liquor brand, grab it here—each person can bring up to 3 liters into the country.

Heads up! Driving in Belize is straightforward, but not recommended after dark. The drive from the airport to The Villas at Cocoplum is about 2.5 hours without stops. If your flight arrives late, consider spending a night in Belize City.
Public Bus
Catch a taxi (about $30 USD) to the Belize City Bus Terminal, then hop on a bus toward Placencia Village. Double-check whether you’ll need to transfer at Dangriga or Belmopan. Buses generally leave in the afternoon around 3 PM.
Private or Shared Shuttle
This is the easiest and most comfortable option, especially for groups:
- Private shuttles: ~$480 USD round trip (up to 5 people)
- Shared shuttles: ~$125 USD per person (book ahead!)
